The 3rd International Conference on Mind, Brain and Consciousness (MBCC 2026) at IIT Mandi is an interdisciplinary forum integrating neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, technology, and Indian Knowledge Systems to explore consciousness and mental well being. The conference places strong emphasis on experimental and data driven approaches for studying brain activity, cognition, and conscious states.
MBCC 2026 brings together researchers, clinicians, and innovators working across consciousness studies, neuro and cognitive sciences, brain computer interfaces, AI enabled mental health solutions, and integrative practices such as Yoga and Ayurveda. The conference offers meaningful opportunities for industry partners to engage with a focused community involved in brain monitoring, neuroanalytics, and translational mental health research, while gaining visibility and fostering long term collaborations.

From time immemorial, the notion of ‘Mind’ has tinkered the philosophers and scientists. The ancient Indian philosophies understood the Mind and explained the processes to understand life. Contrary to this, modern neuroscience has progressed significantly in explaining the brain, its components, structural and functional connectivities and processes. Still the enigma called “MIND’ and its deeper questions remain. Does Neuroscience map with the older models evolving from the Indian Knowledge Systems? Is there a continuity in the knowledge about Mind, Brain and behaviour, from past to future? This special session is aimed at unraveling the attempts to reveal the link, interface and questions between the rich Indian knowledge systems that addressed ‘Mind’ and the state of the art neuroscience.
