The Mind Brain Consciousness Conference (MBCC 2026) invites proposals for special sessions to be held as a part of the conference at IIT Mandi. Special sessions provide an excellent opportunity to explore emerging and specialized topics related to the conference domains, fostering focused discussions and collaborations among researchers and practitioners. They can stimulate lively debates, explore open problems, and encourage significant interaction among participants. We encourage proposals that address new and exciting research directions, interdisciplinary areas, and practical applications that complement the main conference themes, or focus on a special important aspect within a theme.
Special sessions would be 2 to 3 hours long and can have different formats. Some guidelines (with minor deviations allowed) are:
The organizers are expected to invite the experts for the talks, and manage the call for papers and review process for the papers / abstract submitted to the special session. The review process should follow the same standards as the main conference (2 - 3 reviews per paper).
MBCC 2026 team can also help with the publicity, and link the special session webpage to the main conference website.
Peer reviewed full papers accepted and presented in the special session will be published in the conference proceedings by Springer. The format for the full papers should be the same as that for the main conference at Submission page. The organizers should also maintain a copy of the paper reviews as these may be required by the publisher.
Accepted abstracts (1-2 pages in the Springer format) can be included in the web-proceedings on the MBCC website, but will not be a part of the Springer conference proceedings.
