By leveraging advanced signal processing, machine learning, and neurophysiological analysis, the studies presented in this special session explore how the brain initiates and represents voluntary actions, how it recovers from motor impairments, and how individuals experience control over their actions. The overarching aim is to translate this knowledge into practical tools for brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), neurorehabilitation, and the study of consciousness.
